Workshop on Agent Based Computing III (ABC `06) Wisla, Poland, November 6-10, 2006
Organized within the framework of the First International Multiconference on Computer Science and Information Systems, which, in turn, is a part of the XXII Autumn Meeting of the Polish Information Processing Society.. Workshop URL: http://ocean.cs.siu.edu/abc06/index.html
Agent-based computing has been hailed as the next significant breakthrough in software development, with the potential to affect many aspects of computer science, from artificial intelligence to the technologies and models of distributed computation. Agent-based systems are capable of autonomous action in open, dynamically-changing environments. Agents are currently being applied in domains as diverse as business information systems, computer games and interactive cinema, information retrieval and filtering, user interface design and industrial process control. The aim of the ABC '06 is to bring together researchers and developers from industry and academia in order to report on the latest scientific and technical advances, discuss and debate the major issues, and showcase the latest systems.
The special session welcomes submissions of original papers concerning all aspects of software agents. Submissions involving both implementation and theoretical issues are encouraged.
Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the Multiagent and Grid Systems – An International Journal after the workshop. The Journal aims to provide a timely and focal research forum for academics and practitioners in the thematic areas of Multiagent Systems, Grid Computing, Autonomic/Adaptive Computing, and their intersections.
Topics include but are not limited to:
- Agent architectures
- Agent-based software engineering
- Agent-based simulations
- Agent benchmarking and performances
